Phoenix Helix
Phoenix Helix is more than a blog - it's a website with many resources for people with autoimmune diseases but their collection of recipes is impressive and well organized, so we decided to include them in this article. Phoenix Helix is managed by Eileen who created it after being diagnosed with RA.
FOOD FOCUS: AIP, or Paleo Autoimmune Protocol. AIP is an elimination diet protocol that helps people with autoimmune disease manage their symptoms. The protocol combines Paleo diet with a 30-day elimination of potential trigger foods, including nightshades, eggs, nuts, and seeds. The next phase focuses on re-introduction of the potential trigger foods, to help you determine which foods are safe for you
WHAT'S TO LOVE: Eileen's approach is upbeat and positive. She focuses on enjoying the food you can eat rather than pining for the foods you can't have. As we mentioned earlier, Phoenix Helix is a treasure trove of recipes that are suitable for each stage of your AIP journey. Even if you are not on AIP diet, you can find recipes for great tasting foods.
Eileen provides so much more than just recipes - she built a community to help people who are struggling with autoimmune diseases. She offers a podcast, videos, and she wrote several books.
