My family and I love apple season, not only for their delicious taste but also for their incredible health benefits. Apples are high in fiber, rich in antioxidants, and are a key ingredient in some of my favorite recipes! I love apples so much that I was determined to be able to enjoy them year-round so I created products using Organic Apples. You can find my favorite fruit in our Meat & Veggie Bars, Hot Cereals, and our Air-Dried Fruit Mixes!

Our Instant Grain-Free Hot Cereals are the perfect protein & fiber-filled replacement to sugary oatmeal packets! Each flavor is packed with air-dried fruit pieces, shredded coconut & spices! Just add hot water or milk, stir & enjoy.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2c AIP Baked Apple, or 2 single-serve packets**
  • 1/3c Hot water + more if necessary
  • 4 Apples, diced
  • 2 tbsp Oil (coconut, olive, or avocado) + more for lining
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon (or desired amount)
  • 1 tbsp honey (or desired amount)

**You could certainly substitute cassava and/or tiger nut flour for this recipe but the coconut in the hot cereals provides a complex richness to this otherwise simple recipe!

Directions:

        1. 1. Preheat oven to 400°

        2. 2. Prepare the dough by combining the hot water and AIP cereal. Slowly add in the water, stopping once you have a thick texture. Think thicker than muffin-batter here.

        3. 3. Add a tablespoon of the mixture to each small muffin tin cup, and press in with your finger. It can be a little sticky when uncooked, coating your fingers in olive oil helps! Don’t forget to coat your tin, or line with small muffin papers if you have them!

        4. 4. Place muffin tin in fridge to allow to set up while you prepare the filling.

        5. 5. Over medium heat, sauté the diced apples in oil for 1-2 mins to begin softening. Then add in your honey and cinnamon (as much or as little as you’d like) and allow the apples to slowly caramelize. Stir continuously until apples are soft and caramelized, just be sure not to let them burn!

        6. 6. Bake tartlet crusts for 15 mins, uncovered. Remove crust from oven and spoon roughly 2 tablespoons of filling in each crust. Cover and cook for another 10 mins.

        7. 7. Allow to cool completely before enjoying.
        8.

Our Apple Pork Bars blend the fresh sweetness of orchard fruits (including organic apples!) with aromatic parsley, sage, rosemary & thyme. It's reminiscent of sweet & savory breakfast sausage, with the wholesome ingredients you trust from Wild Zora.

Our Air-Dried Orchard Fruit Mix’s organic cherries, organic apples, and organic apricots give you all the tasty bliss of strolling through an orchard on a crisp, fall day. The natural sweetness of apples, the rich burst of apricots, and the smooth zing of cherries make a perfectly idyllic afternoon snack.
